Detroit: Become Human (2018) is an action-adventure game played from a third-person view, which is subject to a set and controllable perspective. There are multiple playable characters in the game who can die as the story continues without them; as a result, there is no “game over” message following a character’s death.
The world of Detroit Become Human is full of androids that perform many daily tasks of people. The story of the game develops from the moment when these artificially created creatures begin to disappear, they show signs of emotions, and rumors about “deviants”are born. But it looks like no one really understands what’s going on.
One of the main characters of the game is a girl-Android named Kara, who gained consciousness and is now one in a huge world of people. In addition to her in the game there is another game character – Connor. It is also Android, but much advanced version to help police in the investigation of cases of deviants. He approaches everything cold and tries to analyze the situation as accurately as possible, and he has incredible computing power and is equipped with special advanced technologies. This character is incredibly purposeful, and the main thing for Connor – to perform the task for which it is programmed.
Playing for different characters, the player needs to make a lot of decisions. At the same time, some of them affect not only local events, but also the fate of other characters. Another important thing – as in Heavy Rain, the main characters can die, and the game will not end, and further events are already developing without their participation.
